Daily solitaire and maze challenge
Every day there is one solitaire deal and one maze, the same for everyone who plays. Win the deal or solve the maze to keep your streak going, then send a friend the same game to see who does it in fewer moves or less time.
Today's challenge
The next challenge starts at midnight UTC.

How the daily challenge works
- Same game for everyone. Today's deal number and maze number come from the date itself, so every phone and computer works out the same pair without asking a server.
- A new pair at midnight UTC. Using one world clock means a friend in another time zone is always on the same challenge as you. The countdown above shows when that is on your clock.
- Checked deals. On six days of the week our solver has won the deal before it is used. If it cannot find a win, the next deal number in line is tried.
- Mazes get harder at the weekend. Weekday mazes are Medium (about 256 squares, rated by measuring the path and its dead ends); Saturday and Sunday are Hard (about 576 squares).
- Hints and undo are allowed. It is your streak, so play the way you like. Showing the maze answer is the one thing that stops a solve from counting.
Daily #1 was October 2, 2026.
Which game is on which day
| Day (UTC) | Solitaire | Deal checked | Maze |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sunday | Accordion | Yes, solver won it | Hard |
| Monday | Yukon | Yes, solver won it | Medium |
| Tuesday | Scorpion | No, see below | Medium |
| Wednesday | Spider | Yes, solver won it | Medium |
| Thursday | Pyramid | Yes, solver won it | Medium |
| Friday | Golf | Yes, solver won it | Medium |
| Saturday | TriPeaks | Yes, solver won it | Hard |
Spider is played with one suit on its day so the deal can be checked; the two and four suit games are too deep for our solver to confirm. Pick any setting you like for an ordinary game on the Spider page.
Streaks and sharing
Your streak is the number of days in a row on which you won the solitaire or solved the maze. It does not reset at midnight if you have not played yet today; it waits until the day is over. Yesterday's challenge stays open until the next reset, so a late night does not cost you.
Share my result copies a short summary, such as "Tally & Table daily #12 Spider: won in 142 moves", with a link to this page. On a phone it opens your share menu instead. Nothing is posted anywhere unless you send it.
To race a friend on the same deal, use Challenge a friend under the game after you win. The link carries your moves and time (and a first name or nickname if you type one), and your friend sees "Beat Sam: 94 moves, 4:12" above the cards, with the comparison when they finish. All of that sits after the # in the link, a part browsers never send to a website; it reaches only the people (and the messaging app) you send it through. Leave the name box empty if you would rather not include a name.
Daily challenge questions
When does the next challenge start?
At midnight UTC, the same moment for everyone. That is 7 or 8 p.m. on the US East Coast, 4 or 5 p.m. on the West Coast, and 1 a.m. in London during summer time. The countdown on this page shows the time on your own clock.
Is every daily deal winnable?
On six of the seven days, yes: before a deal is used, our solver plays it through and has to find a win, otherwise the next deal in line is tried. Tuesday (Scorpion) is the exception, because Scorpion has too many possible moves for our solver to search in a reasonable time, so its deal is not checked. The day card says which is which.
What counts toward my streak?
A day counts when you win the daily solitaire or solve the daily maze without showing the answer. Missing today does not end your streak until today is over, and yesterday's challenge still counts if you finish it before the next reset.
Where are my results kept?
Only in this browser, on this device. Nothing is sent to us, so there is no leaderboard and no account. Clearing your browser data, or the button under your history, removes them. A different phone or browser starts its own streak.
Can I play an older daily?
Yesterday's stays open for the streak until the next reset. Older dailies are still ordinary numbered deals and maze numbers: the history list links to the ones you played, and they play the same as ever, but they no longer change your streak.
Why is there no Clock solitaire day?
Clock has no decisions: the shuffle decides the result before the first card is turned, so a daily Clock deal would be a coin toss rather than a challenge. It is still on the play page.
