Privacy
Short version: no accounts, no cookies, no ads today, and your scores never leave your device. The only thing you can send us is a suggestion or problem report, and only if you choose to. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which Cloudflare says uses no cookies.
What we collect
Nothing about you personally unless you send us a suggestion (below). The site has no sign-up, no tracking pixels, no advertising code and no third-party fonts or embeds. Pages load files from this site plus one visit-counting script from Cloudflare (below).
Visit counts
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and to see which pages are used and how fast they load. Cloudflare says its Web Analytics does not use any client-side state, such as cookies or localStorage, to collect usage metrics, and that it does not fingerprint individuals via their IP address, User Agent string or any other data for the purpose of displaying analytics. It records page views, the site that referred you, your country, browser, operating system and device type, and page load performance. Cloudflare processes this under its privacy policy.
Suggestions and problem reports
The suggestions page and the small "Suggest a game or report a problem" box on game and tool pages let you send us a message. When you press send, we store only:
- the type you picked (bug or wrong rule, feature idea, add a game or tool, or something else) and your message;
- the page you sent it from (for example /farkle/) and the date and time;
- your email address, only if you type one in and tick the box saying we may use it. It is optional and the box starts unticked. We use it only to tell you when your request is done. We delete it right after that, or 90 days after you sent it, whichever comes first. No newsletter, never sold or shared;
- a scrambled code made from your IP address (a salted SHA-256 hash, not the address itself), used only to stop one sender from flooding the form. It is kept apart from your message and deleted after 24 hours.
We delete the message itself 12 months after you send it. These records are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database (Cloudflare is our web host) and processed under Cloudflare's privacy policy. There is no CAPTCHA and no third-party spam service: a hidden field that only bots fill in and the rate limit do that job. Please leave names, addresses and phone numbers out of your message.
To read our replies we use a small AI model, run through OpenRouter, to sort messages into types (bug, idea, new game and so on). Only the message text and the page it came from are sent for that; never your email or the IP code. If a request is popular and we plan to build it, a short title we write ourselves (never your words or details) may appear in the public "Requested" list on the suggestions page.
Where your scores go
The score keepers save player names and scores in your browser's local storage on the device you are using. The roleplaying tools do the same with your dice history, initiative order, ability scores, encounter setup and character sheets; the randomizers with the name lists and settings you enter (a Secret Santa draw included); and the play-online games with their settings and your win record. A character sheet you export is a file saved to your own device; we never see it. The character creator saves your picks in progress the same way until you finish. The token maker opens your picture inside your browser and draws the token there: the picture is never uploaded or stored, and only your ring, color, size and name settings are remembered on your device. That data is not sent to us or to anyone else. It stays until you clear it.
The site may also save a copy of the pages you open so the score keepers still load without a signal. That copy is also stored only in your browser.
How to delete your scores
Press "New game" in a score keeper, the clear, reset, delete or forget button in a tool, or clear this site's data in your browser settings. Private or incognito windows usually erase it when you close them.
Our web host
Like any website, the server that delivers these pages receives standard request details (such as your IP address and browser type) to send you the page. We do not use those details to track you. The only exception is the scrambled IP code described under suggestions, which exists only while it guards the form and is deleted after 24 hours.
If this changes
If we ever add ads, other analytics or anything else that collects data, we will update this page before it goes live and say exactly what is collected and by whom. The disclosure page explains how the site may make money in the future.
